"Bluegrass" music developed from the old string-band culture of the USA's rural Southern States during the late 1930s. It was thus named from the region in which it was born - the "Bluegrass" State of Kentucky and its neighbours.
As such it is the most appropriate music to accompany the "Cowboy" or "Frontier" dances of a traditional Barn Dance or Hoedown.
- a four-piece band featuring all the major bluegrass instruments - fiddle, guitars, banjo, dobro and acoustic bass - with male and female leads and backing vocals.
This talented band truly believes that the audience is there to be entertained. The fact that it is able quickly to read the mood of any audience and then to include music suitable for all present undoubtedly contributes to the success of this most popular group.
Although well able to provide a full evening's entertainment on its own, the addition of audience participation through a barn or square dance will guarantee you and your clientele or guests a night to remember.
