The origins of ABDC are the "Anglo American Barn Dance Company" and "Discofolk Publications" founded in 1963. Ten years later ABDC's two Senior Consultants, Barbara and Henry, came together as "Stars & Bars" - the unique Barn, Square and Line Dance Disco that still sets the standard that other artistes in this field seek to emulate.
The demands of our clients for diverse entertainment with the same quality and affordability led us to develop a consultancy covering virtually the full spectrum of entertainment from A to Z throughout the UK and thus "ABDC Entertainments" was born.
In 1991 we redefined "BandNet", our specialist service for bands, groups and other artistes, to insure that it remained independent and impartial. We also concentrated our training and development activities as "POD" (Personal & Organisational Development).
ABDC's policy has always been "the right entertainment at the right price". We achieve this by studying our clients wishes and by working with them to turn their ideas into practical events. By continuing as Entertainers and Customers ourselves we are able to insure that our knowledge and expertise stays practical and pertinent.
